Awaiting you is an exhilarating journey through time as the exciting and hip Catalyst Quartet perform pieces from African-American composers and artists of color. The theme is called “Uncovered” and features exquisite compositions from artists like Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Florence B. Price. The string quartet will take you on an historical journey that is reminiscent of past days where hope and fortitude were catalysts for change.
Building up to the musical performance is a Catalyst Quartet Residency for students with a passion for this enduring genre. The events are FREE and open to the public. Students are especially encouraged to attend.
